Video surveillance and home security systems need to be properly installed and configured, but it’s up to you whether a professional installs one for you, or if you install it yourself. Do-it-yourself installation is cheaper, but professional installation by our electrical engineers and experts is easy and available.
Modern, HD quality, IP based, hardwired video surveillance systems have an edge on security, reliability and signal interference free image quality. In South Florida we recommend wired solutions with static electricity and lightning storm protection for house surveillance systems. The technology we use includes CAT5/6 wiring with PoE switch, network video recorder with Internet connection and remote viewer access, motion detection, event notification, archive, as well as camera mounting kits and HD IP cameras with resolution 1920×1080 or better. UHD cameras and DVRs are already on the market.
Wireless systems provide a more streamlined installation and can be used in places where wired systems can’t, but batteries need to be changed frequently. In one room – one camera systems, like in baby monitor IP systems or door cameras, batteries can be easily recharged or changed.
